Afghan and Persian cooking in the centre of Lausanne, at rue de Langallerie 1, at the foot of the Bessières bridge. Kebabs, traditional bowls, mantu and boulani. Our meat is certified halal.
The dining room is small, around ten seats, so booking is a good idea if you want to eat in. Many of our guests take their meal away. We have more than 550 Google reviews.

Two minced-lamb kebabs, rice or fries, grilled tomato and pepper.
Bowl of chicken slow-cooked with saffron and tomato, cardamom rice, barberries and pistachio.
Beef meatballs in spicy tomato, cumin rice, carrots and raisins caramelised with rose water.
Steamed Afghan dumplings filled with minced meat, tomato and split pea sauce, garlic yoghurt.
Stuffed Afghan flatbread: leek and potato, feta, or minced meat.
Slow-cooked lamb shank, served with rice.

To eat in, book your table online: seats are limited. Takeaway is a large share of our orders: drop by Monday to Saturday, 11:30 to 22:00, with no break. For delivery, order on Uber Eats, where we are listed as “Lausangeles”.
Bessières is closed on Sundays, but our stand at Food Halle 15, avenue de Sévelin 15, a 10-minute walk from the Flon, is open seven days a week: Monday to Saturday from 11:30 to 14:30 and from 18:00 to 22:00, Sunday from 12:00 to 16:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00.
